Jutu Apartments: “Festive” Atmosphere At DC Apartment Rental Complex

So you’re looking for something that’s reasonably priced with all utilities included and don’t mind a “festive” neighborhood? Welcome to Jetu Apartments! This is one place that frequently has specials in the Express paper (no application fee, half off security deposit, etc) Although it is listed as NE, most people would identify it as SE since its closest to SE metro stations like Benning Road on the Blue Line. The x2 rides past very frequently and is close to being 24 hours, so that’s a very reliable route.

They made me feel welcome and had specific answers to all my questions, they also knew a lot of great highlights about the surrounding area which was helpful since I was unfamiliar with that particular neighborhood. This is another place that has a very narrow kitchen, but there is space fo r a dining area which is adjacent to the living room. The apartments are also fully carpeted and there is a laundry room on site (though it was packed both times I visited).

(Although there are check cashing places nearby where you could pay these bills, they charge a fee) The tenants I saw seemed content and although the complex looked a little outdated and old, it was very clean. There is a fence around this all brick complex which sometimes signifie s “hood” in DC, but the inside will surprise you. The large windows and open floor plan add to the luxurious feel and with the right furniture, you’ll feel like you’re staying somewhere that costs two times as much!
