The staff seems very willing to help out in any way they can. Some of the resident complain abut crime in the neighborhood, which can be a problem, but as someone who has lived in Mt. Ranier in the recent past, it is a relatively safe area as long as you stay sharp! With a great fitness center, laundry center, and plenty of parking, you’ll really enjoy yourself. You also have the option of either carpeted or hardwood floors.
One problem at Kaywood Gardens is that there is a serious lack of parking. Most college students who rely on the metro will have no trouble with this. Additionally, most of the units include utilities. The extremely low $300 deposit makes Kaywood Gardens very appealing. Because the complex is so close to DC, there are metro busses right in front of you doorstep. The Fort Totten and West Hyattsville Metro stations (on the green, yellow, and red lines) are with a five minute drive. College Park, Catholic University, and Howard University students will love the proximity to classes. Its a great alternative to on campus living and you’ll actually save money!
