Most of us want some place that is secure and reasonable…and that’s exactly what you’ll get at Brookland Park. Located on Hamlin Street, this beautiful brick apartment complex features 1-bedroom units starting around $785. The units are large and you might just melt on the carpets. You will really feel taken care of with 24-hour maintenance and on-site laundry facilities.
Brookland Park is located within walking distance of Brookland Metro Station, Trinity and catholic University, grocery stores, and schools. The apartment also stands out because you can get your own porch, so it really does feel like home. This is a great transitioning neighborhood that you will definitely enjoy.
Now for the bad part…
The leasing office didn’t seem very friendly or helpful. While the unit itself was nice, the staff was not. There were several disgruntled tenants and it took a few times to even get in touch with the office to schedule an appointment. The neighborhood is a work in progress, but there are some really great families and students in the area who are friendly and approachable. The area is usually busy, so this might not be a great place for older residents.
