Friendship Crossing

57 Galveston Street Southwest, Washington, DC 20032

Originally, I didn’t look at any apartments in Southwest DC. I heard about Friendship Crossing from a former co-worker and finally decided to check it out. Being near Southern Ave Metro was a big bonus since that’s the green line. You could get downtown in under 20 minutes, so its great for people who want to experience the city without having to suffer from the noise and tourists.

You don’t find this in a lot of places, but Friendship Crossing includes all your utilities in the rent. It is so much better to only have one bill for the house. Living in DC, you need to save your money for some of the finer things.

The building doesn’t really look like much from the outside, but when you get inside, it is a different world. Some of the apartments have paneled mirrors in the living room. The living room is massive and the dining room is the perfect size to entertain for a party. I also adored the windows throughout the apartment and I think you’ll feel the same.

There seemed to be a slight security problem…I was able to walking right into the property without an access key. This was only an issue to me because they listed controlled access as one of their features…it made me wonder how accurate the rest of their information might be.

On the bright side, maintenance is available 24-hours a day (and this is from a random resident, not the actual leasing office). You can contact the leasing office by calling 202-574-4600 202-574-4600 The price for a 1-bedroom is $795 and a 2-bedroom can be $885 or $950 depending on the size.
